Barbed wire

Commonly used for cattle fences, consists of two twisted wire strands with sharp barbs at regular intervals to deter animals. Many landowners prefer low carbon barbed wire, made from steel with 0.06-0.08% carbon content, while high tensile wire has about 0.28% carbon. Although low carbon wire is easy to manipulate and has been standard for years, it can sag over time due to elongation. Unlike high tensile wire, which uses a reverse twist design, low carbon wire has a continuous twist. All Class 1 low carbon barbed wire products meet or exceed ASTM A-121 standards and come in 1320′ rolls.
